The above photo shows an array of twenty 150-Watt photovoltaic panels mounted on the roof of my house in Tucson, AZ. The array produces approximately 18kWh on a sunny day. Any power generated in excess of current need is feed back to the utility grid for credit (this is known as net metering). The panels supply more than 80% of my annual electricity requirement.
